1 First Consultation

At the first consultation, you will meet with Andrew Parsley, the owner of Back to Basics, to discuss what you like (or dislike) in terms of style, design and materials. In the case of a kitchen or home office, this also enables Andrew to find out how you intend to use and live in the room. Andrew has 25 years of experience designing kitchens to meet clients’ needs. You are in safe hands!

2 Initial Design

We then produce an initial design proposal and costing, which we talk you through at our workshop, where samples are on hand to demonstrate finishes and materials. At the same time, Andrew can discuss any alterations you would like to make. No two designs are ever the same, because every client is different. We don’t hold a range of pre-determined styles or solutions as each project is designed specifically to each client’s unique requirements for their home.

3 Build

We only ask for a 10% deposit to secure your booking. This reserves your space in our production schedule, and we can then work with you to further refine your design and requirements until the perfect solution for you has been reached. Three weeks before we begin your build, we ask for a further 40% payment.

4 Fitting and Handover

We ensure the same consideration and care that went into building your project is carried through into this final chapter. Fitting an average size kitchen takes around two weeks, we ask for a third payment of 40% when we arrive, but the balance is not due until we have finished, and you are completely satisfied. We can also supply appliances and if you are choosing non-timber work surfaces, we can arrange those too.
